This bike has just 4,945 miles on it! Plus, it’s registered in my name here in California. Many people who buy a bike from out-of-California with under 7500 miles on them, are in for a rude awakening, as most do not qualify for California stringent air emission controls, and therefore can’t be registered in California.
This 2009 Big Dog K9 Custom Softail Chopper Motorcycle offers the outstanding looks of a Hard-Tail Chopper, but rides like a dream with its Soft-Tail Suspension.
This bike is in GREAT CONDITION and has clearly been taken extremely well care of over the course of its life.
The Highly Desirable Beautiful Real Flamed Orange & Black Base Paint Job with Traditional Black Flames & Red Pin-Striping is absolutely beautiful. The paint job is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! There is Chrome & Polished Billet everywhere on this bike. I recently brought this bike out to the El Cajon auto and motorcycle show and took first place for the motorcycles!
From entering a lot of Southern California automobile and motorcycle shows with my Texas Chopper, I can definitively say that this Big Dog K9 would definitely take first place in the majority of shows that it entered into! Yes, it is practically a show bike that you can ride every day! But, don’t buy this bike if you don’t want to gather a lot of attention when riding it or parking it in a large group of other motorcycles!
The bike is equipped with the Very Powerful 117 Cubic Inch 1,917 CC S&S V-Twin Motor, Baker Six Speed Transmission, Right Side Balance Drive, & P&M Disc Brakes. This bike has PLENTY OF POWER!
THIS BIKE IS LOADED WITH OPTIONS! It is equipped with the Wires Plus Electrical Upgrade Kit, to eliminate the Big Dog EHC (Main Computer System). Yes, perhaps the biggest problems with the Big Dog motorcycles was the electrical wiring. With this professional wiring kit installed, this is no longer a concern for this bike.
The vast majority of Big Dog motorcycles come with good-looking aluminum wheels. When polished, aluminum looks good, but it certainly doesn’t look as good as chrome! This bike has the Chrome Wheel Package! Also, there is: Big Dog Air Intake, SuperTrapp Exhaust, Rear Passenger Pegs, Chrome Sissy Bar, Custom Mirrors, Big Dog Easy Clutch, ETC … It is equipped with a 21″ rim up front & an 18″ rim in the rear mounted on a HUGE 300 series tire that looks absolutely outstanding.
This K9 Big Dog Chopper is in Great Condition! I would rate the bike at a 9.25 out of a 10! Definitely an eye catching Big Dog that is extremely unique! I haven’t seen any other Big Dogs like this one! The under carriage of the frame has some minor scrapes from entering a driveway which I see on nearly every Big Dog. There really aren’t any notable blemishes in the paint with the exception of a few minor surface scratches. The Chrome on the pegs & wheels are in great shape with the exception of some minor pitting on the front wheel & also the front forward foot controls. It is very minor & almost not worth mentioning, but I want to disclose as much as possible.
Since I’m somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to my motorcycles, I did purchase a brand-new chrome front hub that you can install and have the old hub as a spare or sell to someone who wants to re-chrome it. This brand new mfron wheel hub is included in this sale. The polished billet through out the bike is in good shape. The bike has clearly been taken care of over the course of its life. Both tires are in great shape & should last at least two/three more seasons. Also, the bike has built-in wiring for standard battery trickle charger.
The bike runs perfect and is an absolute blast to ride! You won’t be disappointed! It does have a clean & clear California Title.
