La Mesa California is just East of San Diego and they usually have a weekly car & motorcycle show in the Summer every Thursday evening from appx. 5 to 8 PM on La Mesa Blvd.
It’s mainly classic cars sprinkled with a few low riders and motorcycles. Because of the village atmosphere on La Mesa Blvd. and all the classic cars, it’s almost like you step back in time when you go to this show.
But, you never know what type of car will show up at a show like this. As you see in the video a new Fisker Karma was parked right next to the motorcycles. Personally, I wasn’t sure that this car was actually part of the show or if its owner just stopped by to grab a brewski. The Fisker Karma, a super luxury plug-in hybrid that sold new for around $100,000, are now selling used for as little as $50,000!
With just about 2,500 Karmas sold many believe the company appears to be spiraling toward bankruptcy. If this turns out to be correct, there will likely be little support available for the complex, technologically advanced vehicles in the future. So it’s not surprising that demand for used Karmas is so low.
