The mountaintop is the site of the Mount Soledad cross, the subject of a continuing controversy over the involvement of religion in government.
This is the short ride up to Mt. Soledad for the blessing. The ride ended back at San Diego Harley-Davidson where there was a free catered lunch, drinks, live band and bike wash!
