Julian California is one of the top motorcycle ride destinations for the entire San Diego County.
Julian an 1870s gold rush town, being only about an hour east of San Diego, is a very popular tourist destination. Although one can still go on a tour of an old gold mine, most people go to Julian to enjoy the fresh mountain air and scenic views. Today, Julian is known more for its fresh-baked apple pies than for gold mining.
