Best Motorcycle Roads San Diego
This is part two of my video about a motorcycle ride to Borrego Springs California. In my opinion if you are eager to ride one of the best motorcycle roads San Diego, this is it!
We rode out for the annual Borrego Days Desert Festival which was the weekend of October 19th thru the 21st. The center of Borrego Springs is Christmas Circle. For the festival, they had a car show on one day and then the other day had an off-road vehicle show. There are plenty of vendors of all sorts as well as local artist displaying their crafts.
Best Motorcycle Roads San Diego
This video focuses on the Montezuma grade s22 ( the entire Montezuma Valley Road is about 22 miles long) which is a little over 10 miles going down from Ranchita to Borrego Springs California..
Many motorcyclist in the San Diego area consider this one of the best motorcycle roads in San Diego County. This road has all the twists and turns any motorcyclist would love combined with great vistas out over the desert.
There are at least two gas stations in Borrego Springs for those of us with small gas tanks. Good restaurants to stop for lunch, but best of all you can ride around the Borrego Springs area to view all the metal sculptures that are scattered throughout the desert.
The largest of these sculptures, is a huge Dragon that seems to go in and out of the desert sand and is so long that it crosses one of the local roads. Personally I think this ride is one of the best motorcycle rides for San Diego bikers.
