Harley-Davidson Temporarily Shutdown

Harley-Davidson Temporarily Shutdown

Harley temporarily shutdown production after an employee at the Menomonee Falls plant tested positive for Coronavirus.

Some comments:
To bad for the workers, but the board has time now to figure out why they build such crappy overpriced bikes today, instead giving their customers the bike they want.

Not surprising, Harley is so over stocked because people don’t want the machines anymore. Their touring line up have become so old and dated that i am now looking elsewhere for a bike, Indian, Yamaha or BMW, but i am really leaning towards the 2020 Indian Challenger. Relatively the same price but far more value for my money. The Road/Street Glides have become boring, dated, dull and stale and i personally am very disappointed in Harley and their lack of a refresh and design updates. Between mismanagement and lack of product refresh sales have been dropping and i guarantee that Harley will be 1st in line with their hand out lobbying the government for cash only because they dont do anything on R&D
So what, everyone is cutting back even before the coronavirus scare. Harley-Davidson is getting their asses kicked my other manufacturers and their rival Indian. Harley-Davidson has not taken advantage of new technology and is still using a chain primary drive and three oil fill holes not to mention full LED lighting. My new bike will be a Indian challenger if they don’t get their stuff together.
Imagine how many bikes Harley could sell if you could get Street Glide Special for $18k and a Fatbob for $12k?

It just may be time to consider a Big Dog k9 factory built chopper…
