Livewire Review – Harley’s Next Big Flop?

Well, this is just my personal opinion. Agree or disagree please leave your comments below.

First of all looks, even being a chopper guy, looking at this like a sport bike rider I don’t think it has any personality. As far as price goes, I think at $30,000 this is sure to be one of Harley’s biggest flops ever. I really don’t think that even if they cut the price in half this would be a good seller.

I really don’t know, with weed being illegal in California I don’t know if it’s legal in Michigan but I think the Harley engineering team and sales team have to be smoking something to produce a bike like this!

If you can buy a low-end Tesla for about 35,000, who the hell is going to spend 30 grand for this bike? Sure, you have the Jay Leno’s and a handful of Hollywood elites that have that kind of money and also want to show the world that their environmentally correct. But, for the rest of us, for even those making 50 to 75 grand a year, to spend 30 grand on this, seems like you’d have to be crazy.

I know this bike was aimed at the millennial’s, but with most of them having a huge college debt burden, how many are actually going to shell out 30 grand for a bike they can maybe go about 110 miles before it has to be charged up again?

Now maybe I’m reading this wrong, maybe Harley thought the advertising that they can get by having the first production electric motorcycle would be worth the losses that they’re sure to take on this. I give this bike 2 to 3 years maximum before Harley pulls the plug!

Actually, depending on how much they invested to engineer and produce these bikes, this bike may end up pulling the plug on Harley Davidson!
