Riding my 2006 American Ironhorse Texas Chopper in San Diego California on Highway Eight, heading west around sunset.
Motorcycle Accident Close Call
With today’s modern cell phones on almost every ride around town when I look over to the next lane I see somebody either talking or texting on their cell phone. Add to this, the fact that now in California marijuana is legal, motorcyclist have a lot more to worry about here in Southern California than in years past.
Perhaps one of the most worrisome situations on a motorcycle is when the rider is waiting at a red light or just stopped at a stop sign. You just never know if the vehicle behind you, because of inattention, is going to and up on top of you!
This was a very short clip, so in order to add the narration, I did it over other riding clips here in San Diego on my 2006 American Ironhorse Texas Chopper.
The video was taken with a new Insta360 One camera. This camera allows you to take full 360° videos and photos and then you have the option of either producing them in the regular 360 format, or like I’ve done here convert them to what’s called regular or flat videos after you have edited them and decided how you want to move the camera or what scenes you want to show. This feature is very good for motorcycle videos because the camera doesn’t move, but yet it photographs everything that’s happening around you and then when you’re producing the video you can decide what direction on what angles you want to show and produce a regular video that looks like you had a camera person on the back of your bike filming your ride.
I paid the full retail price for the Insta360 One and received no compensation for this video. All the opinions expressed here are just my own. Now, with that said, if you’re interested in getting your own Insta360 One, you can purchase it through my affiliate link (yes I make a small commission) below directly from the manufacturer (at current time using this link you get FREE FedX shipping & sales tax/import duties all included. . .
