Motorcycle video tip
Make your next motorcycle video much more entertaining! I’m sure you know about VR 360 videos, this motorcycle video tip is how to use a 360° video to provide your audience scenes that you preselected from the raw 360° footage and then converted it into a regular ‘flat’ video. Motorcycle video tip:
Using this technique, is almost like having a passenger behind you filming your motorcycle ride at various angles, all from one small stationary 360° camera that is attached to your motorcycle helmet.

The camera I’m using here is a Samsung Gear 360 and I’m editing the 360° video footage with Corel Video Studio 2018. actually, using a 360° video camera like this, gives you, the photographer, the option of producing a regular VR 360° video of your ride, and/or converting the 360° footage into the scenes and angles that you want the viewer to see. Then, converting the edited 360° footage into a regular ‘flat’ flat video.
What I like about the Samsung gear 360 video camera is that it produces 4K video, is very small, and is inexpensive.
Also, what I like about Corel video studio 2018, is that it’s pretty intuitive and costs under $100! personally, I use GoPro mounts to attach the Samsung Gear video camera to my motorcycle helmet.
Samsung Gear 360 details:
- Tell the whole story with the 360° camera that captures every angle in 4K brilliance and share instantly
- Capture life as it happens in stunning 4K video and 15MP photos thanks to dual 180° lenses
- Gear 360 is easy to hold and take with you, and has an IP53 water-resistant rating*
- Preview and edit your videos with an easy-to-use app, or share them straight to social** or Samsung VR with your Galaxy S8 or S8+ ***
- Upload your photos or videos to Samsung VR to experience your moments in virtual reality
For an example of a regular 360° video, you might want to take a look at this video ( 360° Motorcycle Ride ) that I produced riding my American iron horse Texas chopper here in San Diego. when you view the video you should look up into the upper left-hand corner and you see directional arrows that you can put your cursor on t the view from the 360° camera. Actually, you don’t even have to use those directional arrows to change the views, you can just put your cursor on the video when it’s playing and move the cursor in any direction that you want and the view on the video will change based on how you move the cursor.
