San Diego Custom Motorcycle Builder

This is an interview with Steve a retired guy who wanted to build custom motorcycles when he retired . . . and he has!

It’s one thing to have a passion to ride motorcycles. You take it up a notch when you handle your basic maintenance and repairs. It is really hitting it out of the ballpark when you can build your own custom motorcycle! I think this video interview shows Steve’s passion for his hobby of building bikes. Yes, when most people retire from their daily job, are thinking about bird watching or tending to a garden, Steve is living his retirement dream with iron, big motors, gas and a great satisfaction in riding his retirement creations!

Steve’s San Diego custom motorcycle

When Steve thinks about a new motorcycle, he is not thinking about visiting a motorcycle dealer. Steve is thinking about what frame can go with what big-ass v-twin engine and what front forks will be good for handling and accentuate the vision he has for the completed bike.

Not only can Steve build custom motorcycles, but he is also a great motorcycle rider. Just last year we rode up to Julian California, up to Ramona California for a custom motorcycle show (Steve’s bike won for it’s class), and out to Borrego California. Our Borrego ride was about 5/6 hours and 170 miles roundtrip. It must be a great feeling to ride a bike that you built from the ground up!

Here are links to the videos of the San Diego motorcycle rides mentioned above:

My hat is off to you, Steve, for living your dream and having you as a riding buddy!
