This is an annual auto show that occurs on Fifth Avenue just South of market. In the San Diego gaslamp Quarter. In 2014, there were just a couple of motorcycles in the entire show.
So, if you’re just into custom motorcycles, this is not the San Diego show for you. But, if you like to view high-end luxury new and historic vehicles. This is a great show to attend.
San Diego Gas Lamp Car Show
Naturally, if you want to enter the show. There is an entry fee, but for spectators. The show is entirely free. As far as I know, this is the only hot Rod autoshow that occurs in the gaslamp Quarter. There are some other hot Rod and motorcycle shows that do occur closer to the San Diego Harbor.
Also, there are annual weekly hot Rod and motorcycle shows in the city of La Mesa, and El Cajon during the summer season. But, in my opinion the best of the San Diego hot Rod and motorcycle shows occurs in the Pacific beach area, usually during August. They show as lots of entertainment going on throughout the day and the huge number of hot rods and custom motorcycles that are entered. Plus, it’s totally free for spectators.
