Just last month in March we had over 23,400 unique visitorsto this site!
I’m writing this post on April 2, 2017, and as the stats for the site are updated at the end of the day, so you can see that for yesterday, April 1 alone, we had 966 unique visitors!
So, once again I like to say thanks to all my readers and loyal subscribers.
If you’re in the San Diego area, and have a unique bike, contact me I be glad to take some photos and maybe even do an interview and publish it here on the site. (more…)
Who doesn’t really like to look at good-looking bikes and good-looking ladies? this is a five-minute slideshow type video of good-looking ladies posing with an assortment of good looking motorcycles.
Personally, I think it’s true . . . good-looking big bikes attract good-looking ladies! I guess the same is true for good-looking hot rods or Lamborghinis or Corvettes!
Also, there can be no doubt that a lot of ladies are attracted to the ‘bad boy’ type image some motorcycle riders represent. Maybe the attraction also has to do with that adventurous spirit motorcycle riders represent . . . The exact opposite from the standard toyota prius/transgender bathroom/Disneyland masses. (more…)
Kawasaki Ninja H2, a supercharged four-cylinder superbike that can rip off a sub-10-second quarter-mile time. The Ninja in this video appears to have been further modified to produce 245 horsepower at the wheel, allowing it to run an 8.34 second quarter-mile at 169 mph.
Even packing that sort of punch, the Ninja H2 falls before the might of the twin-turbo Lamborghini.
This machine has a 117 cubic inch S&S engine that is 1916cc’s of power and torque.
The 2006 Mastiff has been stretched and lowered considerably: the wheelbase is 5 inches longer; the frame has been raked an additional 2 inches, and the seat has been dropped by 1.25 inches to a low 24.25 inches. There’s a one-piece stretched tank, a new feature on all the 2006 models. (more…)
These are criminals first, bikers a distant second. A suggestion for you wanna-be’s: Just ride, forget the rest of the BS.
This documentary is YEARS old!
All “Outlaw” clubs, or 1%’s, started off originally as clubs who enjoyed riding and maybe the occasional bar fight on a Saturday night. Now they’re criminals who are after the almighty dollar through Meth sales and distribution and other crimes. What a shame. As an avid chopper rider for years I can attest to the fact that 99% of REAL bikers are law abiding, love their families, and work honest jobs.
If you’re like me, and baby your motorcycle, you owe it to yourself to watch this video and read the full post.
Originally, my American Ironhorse Texas Chopper motorcycle sold for over $30,000! Now, that it’s 10 years old, it would still bring about $16,000 if I were to sell it. So, naturally I tried to baby the bike to ensure its continued good operation and to maintain its value.
So, any time I do an oil change (which is once per season or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first), I run full synthetic oil in the engine, and now use an K&N chrome oil filter. (more…)
When I first started riding motorcycles back in New York, there was no helmet law requirement. When the helmet law went into effect in New York virtually all motorcycle riders hated it! personally, for me having driven motorcycles without a helmet and now with the helmet, there is just no comparison with the freedom that you feel without a helmet. The motorcycle in this video is a 2006 American iron horse Texas chopper. This is a factory custom motorcycle with an S&S 111 in.³ V- twin engine. sure, anybody can bring their bike down to the dealership and have all the maintenance performed. But, if you want to save money and also get the satisfaction of doing the job right, most of the maintenance is relatively easy to do. (more…)
It’s my opinion that the big dog K-9 motorcycle and the American iron horse Texas chopper motorcycle are the two best made factory custom choppers.
Big dog motorcycles went out of business, all I believe in 2011, but, just a couple years ago they came back. Currently, they’re just producing one model motorcycle . . . Yes, it was the most popular bike when they made a number of different models … What I’m talking about is the big dog K-9!
The big dog K9 motorcycle comes standard with the one 117 S&S engine and a wide 300mm rear tire. (more…)
Heading out of the bay .. I left at the wrong time…there were some breaks in traffic but not much..it started clearing up outside of Vacaville…. longest session yet!
Assembly Bill 51, signed into law by Gov. Jerry Brown, for the first time legally defines lane–splitting, the practice of motorcyclists riding between lanes to move quickly through traffic.
Personally, and most probably because I’ve been riding motorcycles for over 40 years, I try to avoid lane splitting whenever possible. naturally here in Southern California, when you’re riding in the air-cooled bike sometimes lane splitting is unavoidable to prevent damage to your engine.
But, with that said, there’s been many times when I’ve been invited to ride from San Diego up to LA and have declined just for the fact that I knew it would entail lane splitting in super-heavy LA traffic. I’ve seen my share of distracted drivers here on the California roads, and really don’t want to increase my odds of injury by splitting lanes on the congested freeways.
Driving a car here in San Diego, on a number of occasions, I’ve been rear ended by an inattentive driver. Luckily, there were never any injuries and only some fender damage in each case. Now, keep in mind that if the same accidents occurred while I was on my motorcycle, the outcome would have been totally different. (more…)
