This is a look back on one of the nicest choppers that I’ve owned.  I’m sure we all do it, that is, look back at some of our past rides.

I mean, I have a great-looking Big Dog K-9 now, but, I still love this American Ironhorse Texas Chopper.  This was the first bike of the many that I’ve owned, that I had custom painted. Changing a motorcycle oil is perhaps one of the most important maintenance items that you can do.  Plus, was many motorcycle dealers charging over $100 to do a complete oil change, learning to do it yourself is really a tremendous money saver. Every make and model of motorcycle, has different oil types and oil change intervals. In this video I’m working on my past American Ironhorse Texas Chopper.  The basic oil change information shown in my video, with minor changes, is applicable for most motorcycles.

Before you start your oil change I’d recommend checking your owner’s manual for the manufacturer’s recommendation on when to change the oil, the amount of oil to use and the recommended oil type and weight (more…)

How to set your Motorcycle Belt Tension

A properly cared for drive belt can last a hundred thousand miles, and maintaining it just means checking its condition and tension about as often as you change the oil and filter.

A motorcycle drive belt that it too tight will whine and can cause transmission leaks or belt failure. A belt that it too loose or misaligned can jump cogs on the rear drive sprocket. (more…)

Used car salesman buys a bike for himself without knowing how to ride. Always wear a helmet.

Well, he now owns a bike he has to fix ,& a Jetta he has to fix, let’s hope he bought a helmet along with riding lessons.

Very lucky rider, if he would have hit a parked truck his head would have went into the side easily resulting in major trauma. (more…)
