Harley-Davidson has taken the wraps off a top-secret electric motorcycle prototype — a rocket ship they call the LiveWire.
I’ll borrow Willies own words to this electric bike project. (summarized from the V-4 project back in 1979) If it don’t sound like a HD, we will not build/sell it.
.DO NOT expect it to come to market.

Some Harley riders have said the target market for this concept was probably the new age limp wrist metro-sexual male because this is nothing more but a castrated Harley… That’s a glorified Vespa. This is a dated motorcycle basic rider safety video. 1990s. While horribly flawed in some of its instructions (it advises to never use a motorcycle’s rear brake and to not do a full head-check, among other incorrect assertions), it still contains a modicum of good information. If you can get past the poor on-camera presence of some of the so-called “experts” and the sometimes questionable things filmed on the street in order to demonstrate what *not* to do, you’ll enjoy an hour of great classic motorcycles from a quarter-century ago.
For some of us a quick review of motorcycle safety instructions can be useful. In our age of cell phones and texting, motorcycle riding has become much more dangerous & requires motorcycle riders to be ever vigilant. (more…)
