March 25, 2010, a group of motorcyclists at the intersection were hit from behind by a large sanitation dump truck that was eastbound on Carefree Highway. A total of eight motorcycles and five vehicles were involved in the collision. The scene became even more horrific when the dump truck exploded into flames, trapping three of the motorcycle riders underneath. (more…)
