This video was shot in the staging area for what I believe is California’s largest motorcycle rally . . . The annual West Coast Thunder motorcycle ride from Riverside California stopping at the Riverside National Cemetery ( the third largest national cemetery in the country), to place flags at the grave sites, and then proceeding on down the highway 215, with a California Highway Patrol escort to the Paris County Fairgrounds for a concert. This biker after-party was at Biggs Harley-Davidson in San Marcos California. There were two stunt bike demonstrations, live music, dozens of vendors, a free kids zone, food, BMX stunts, wrestling, car & bike show, and much more. This event benefits Home Front San Diego which helps every branch of our military and their families. (more…)
If you take pride in riding your motorcycle you can also take pride in at least doing the basic maintenance on your bike. although this video is specific to the 2007 Big Dog Motorcycles K9 model, basic principles can hold true for most big V-twin model motorcycles. As I say in the video, before starting any basic maintenance on your motorcycle, always review your motorcycles service manual for specific instructions pertaining to your year and model bike. This bike was purchased from the original owner who because of work commitments and other factors really kept it in his garage more like a trophy than a motorcycle.
Currently, this bike has under 400 original miles! Yes, it’s not even past the engine brakein period! also, just a few days ago, I had Curtis of Wild Steed Wox clean up and go over the electrical system because the Arizona dealer did a sloppy job on installing the upgraded EHC. At the same time, I had Curtis mount new Avon tires and balance them with the micro-bead system, so no ugly lead weights needed. The reason for the new tires was not because of any wear, I mean they had under 400 miles on them, they were installed because of the age of the original tires. (more…)
