Instead of supporting a balanced energy portfolio, the state’s strategy seems clear: if you don’t want fossil fuels to compete with your green mandates, you simply regulate them out of existence.

Through suffocating environmental compliance mandates, crushing tax structures, and hostile local policies, state regulators have made traditional oil and gas operations nearly impossible to sustain.
