These are criminals first, bikers a distant second. A suggestion for you wanna-be’s: Just ride, forget the rest of the BS.
This documentary is YEARS old!
All “Outlaw” clubs, or 1%’s, started off originally as clubs who enjoyed riding and maybe the occasional bar fight on a Saturday night. Now they’re criminals who are after the almighty dollar through Meth sales and distribution and other crimes. What a shame. As an avid chopper rider for years I can attest to the fact that 99% of REAL bikers are law abiding, love their families, and work honest jobs.
If you’re like me, and baby your motorcycle, you owe it to yourself to watch this video and read the full post.
Originally, my American Ironhorse Texas Chopper motorcycle sold for over $30,000! Now, that it’s 10 years old, it would still bring about $16,000 if I were to sell it. So, naturally I tried to baby the bike to ensure its continued good operation and to maintain its value.
So, any time I do an oil change (which is once per season or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first), I run full synthetic oil in the engine, and now use an K&N chrome oil filter. (more…)
The motorcycle in this video is a 2006 American iron horse Texas chopper. This is a factory custom motorcycle with an S&S 111 in.³ V- twin engine. sure, anybody can bring their bike down to the dealership and have all the maintenance performed. But, if you want to save money and also get the satisfaction of doing the job right, most of the maintenance is relatively easy to do. (more…)
It’s my opinion that the big dog K-9 motorcycle and the American iron horse Texas chopper motorcycle are the two best made factory custom choppers.
Big dog motorcycles went out of business, all I believe in 2011, but, just a couple years ago they came back. Currently, they’re just producing one model motorcycle . . . Yes, it was the most popular bike when they made a number of different models … What I’m talking about is the big dog K-9!
The big dog K9 motorcycle comes standard with the one 117 S&S engine and a wide 300mm rear tire. (more…)
Heading out of the bay .. I left at the wrong time…there were some breaks in traffic but not much..it started clearing up outside of Vacaville…. longest session yet!
Assembly Bill 51, signed into law by Gov. Jerry Brown, for the first time legally defines lane–splitting, the practice of motorcyclists riding between lanes to move quickly through traffic.
Personally, and most probably because I’ve been riding motorcycles for over 40 years, I try to avoid lane splitting whenever possible. naturally here in Southern California, when you’re riding in the air-cooled bike sometimes lane splitting is unavoidable to prevent damage to your engine.
But, with that said, there’s been many times when I’ve been invited to ride from San Diego up to LA and have declined just for the fact that I knew it would entail lane splitting in super-heavy LA traffic. I’ve seen my share of distracted drivers here on the California roads, and really don’t want to increase my odds of injury by splitting lanes on the congested freeways.
Driving a car here in San Diego, on a number of occasions, I’ve been rear ended by an inattentive driver. Luckily, there were never any injuries and only some fender damage in each case. Now, keep in mind that if the same accidents occurred while I was on my motorcycle, the outcome would have been totally different. (more…)
For last month, this site ( www.sandiegocustommotorcycles.info ) had over 24,000 unique visits! now, I’m not talking about hits here I’m talking about individual visits from unique IP addresses where just one visit from a specific IP address is counted in a 24-hour period.
Take a look at our unique visitor traffic and you see that we’ve been averaging well over 24,000 unique visitors per month for quite some time!
Once again, I’d like to thank all my readers and subscribers who have contributed to the huge amount of visits. This site started just as a hobby site that really took off when I started producing and publishing a lot of my riding videos here in San Diego. (more…)
You know this is the only President of the United States that had chopper motorcycle custom-built for him!
Awesome guys that’s the American way to build our President a sweet bike!! I can really see how this chopper fits President Trump’s character and lifestyle! Way over the top for me personally, but just the fact that he commissioned a build like this is amazing.
Personally, I put this in a special corner of the Oval Office! (more…)

Three cool looking iron horse motorcycles in San Diego’s East County.
Kevin is one guy who really likes horses . . . Not only real horses, but Ironhorses as well!
The Ironhorse motorcycle that you’re looking at on the opening screen of the above video, is a Legend model. This particular one has a 2008 Texas Chopper tank on it. If you look closely you’ll see some of the differences between the Texas Chopper, the second motorcycle in, and the Legend the first motorcycle in the foreground. First of all, look at the swinging arm on the rear wheel and you can see that the Legend is an A-frame style and on the Texas Chopper has a straight bar that goes back to the wheel. (more…)
