Ride sober or get pulled over. Even Motorcycle riders get busted for riding drunk.

Alcohol affects those skills essential to riding a motorcycle – balance and coordination. So it plays a particularly big role in motorcycle fatalities.

Statistics show that the percentage of intoxicated motorcycle riders in fatal crashes is greater than the percentage of intoxicated drivers on our roads.

This is why NHTSA urges all motorcycle riders to always ride smart and sober. (more…)

LA  Motorcycle accident on the section of Mulholland Highway called the Snake!

This motorcycle rider was surprisingly OK and actually road his bike home after his Triumph high-sided on a section of Mulholland Highway called the Snake.

The motorcycle rider said he was concentrating on the guy behind and the turn took him completely by surprise. He panicked & hit the rear brake only. (more…)

Models compete in a swimsuit competition at the Boot Hill Saloon at Daytona Beach during the 2015 bike week. All nine contestants, two promo girls and the hostess were all Fireball Models. Contest was sponsored by Boot Hill Saloon & Indian Motorcycles.

This was the first test of having my Yuneec Typhoon Q500 automatically follow me while I’m riding my American Ironhorse Texas Chopper.

Prior to the development of the ‘watch me’ and ‘follow me’ modes for UAVs, there would have to be a separate drone operator to follow the motorcycle rider. Now, this can be done with just one person … the motorcycle rider themselves! (more…)

San Diego Motorcycle Accident

November 6, 2015 – I was driving Northbound on I-5 in San Diego this morning when I captured this motorcycle crash on my G1W-C dashcam. It’s amazing this rider walked away from the accident; his helmet definitely saved his life! Thanks to the great people who took the few seconds out of their day to stop and help this guy.

Comments:

It looks like he misjudged the cars speed and coming to a stop in front of him, and used too much of his rear break instead of his front tire breaks. A bike should be able to stop or slow down much easier than a car. But without experience or simply having a groggy morning can cause a misjudgment for even 1 sec and ends up in these kind of accidents. (more…)

This was the last show of the season for the Cajon classic cruise which is a weekly hot Rod and motorcycle show in El Cajon California that runs from about the end of April through the end of October each year.

This annual Southern California Hot Rod and motorcycle show is totally free, for both participants and spectators and runs Wednesday evenings from about five to 8:30 PM., from the end of April through the end of October. (more…)
