This is a look back on one of the nicest choppers that I’ve owned. I’m sure we all do it, that is, look back at some of our past rides.
I mean, I have a great-looking Big Dog K-9 now, but, I still love this American Ironhorse Texas Chopper. This was the first bike of the many that I’ve owned, that I had custom painted. I’m sure we’d all agree it would be nice if money was no object, the kind of be like Jay Leno, and we could have your own storage facility to keep all your best rides.

I know I said it before, but I’ll say it again, personally, the best-looking factory produced choppers where the American Ironhorse Texas Chopper and the Big Dog K-9. Unfortunately, back in the economic downturn we had around 2006, both these manufacturers went bankrupt. Yes, when you’re going through tough times it’s hard to justify a $30,000 garage Toy!

The American Ironhorse bikes were produced in Fort Worth Texas and the Big Dog Motorcycles were produced in Wichita Kansas. Some years after their bankruptcies, and the economy started to improve, Big Dog Motorcycles was able to return to Manufacturing, though at a much smaller scale.
