The newer Big Dogs come with an S&S 124 engine. With the huge 300mm rear tire and a length over 9′, it takes a few rides to get used to the power & handling.
The head-turning looks and sound of this flagship of the Big Dog line is certinally not for everyone! The bike is NOT hard to ride, but as a factory produced custom chopper, I belive it has no equal! (more…)
I have a K-9 and after you get used to riding it it’s no problem. One of the most comfortable bikes I’ve ever ridden and I’m an old guy.

The Big Dog K9 is a 2009 model, and the American Ironhorse Texas Chopper is a 2006 model.
The focus of this video is a difference between the hydraulic clutch on the Texas Chopper as it compared to the mechanical clutch on the Big Dog K9.
This was the first big dog motorcycle that I owned. So, I was wondering why it had a mechanical clutch being that it was a 2009 model,, when my American Ironhorse Texas Chopper 2006 model had an hydraulic clutch. (more…)
