Currently, this bike has under 400 original miles! Yes, it’s not even past the engine brakein period! also, just a few days ago, I had Curtis of Wild Steed Wox clean up and go over the electrical system because the Arizona dealer did a sloppy job on installing the upgraded EHC. At the same time, I had Curtis mount new Avon tires and balance them with the micro-bead system, so no ugly lead weights needed. Breaking the k9 choppers in looks like it was a lot of fun. They put a over thirty-miles on each of the choppers. They are put through all six-gears of the Jim’s Transmissions. At first, the transmission was pretty tight, and the shifting was a bit rough until they rode them for a little while. Read more

The motorcycle in this video is a Big Dog K9 motorcycle with an S&S 117 in.³ fuel injected V-Twin engine. This video shows part of my ride from Orange County California to San Diego CA. The video was shot with a Samsung Gear 360 camera. Watch the Big Dog k9 motorcycle ride below:
This Samsung camera is a relatively small 360° camera that can be mounted using standard GoPro mounts. I’m riding the Big Dog with the camera is mounted on the right side of my helmet.
I’m also using Corel Video Studio X10 to edit the footage and convert it from 360° video into standard video. Read more

When new, this moidel sold for approximately $28,995. Don’t get too excited, American Ironhorse went out of business in 2008. Because most of their bikes look like one off custom machines, they still remain in high demand in the resale market. I believe a huge factor in their continued high demand, besides their ultra-cool look, was the fact that they chose the American-made S&S engine to power all their motorcycles. Many other motorcycle manufacturers and custom builders went with imported V-twin engines, that most bikers consider way inferior when compared to the S&S engine.
This bike like most of the American Ironhorse line, came standard with the 111-inch S&S engine. AIH offered two other options: a 117-inch ($1,000) or a 124-inch ($2,000) motor. American Ironhorse opened for business in 1995. American Ironhorse was the largest factory producer of custom motorcycles in the United States until production ended in 2008. Read more

It’s my opinion that the big dog K-9 motorcycle and the American iron horse Texas chopper motorcycle are the two best made factory custom choppers.
Big dog motorcycles went out of business,all I believe in 2011, but, just a couple years ago they came back. Currently, they’re just producing one model motorcycle . . . Yes, it was the most popular bike when they made a number of different models … What I’m talking about is the big dog K-9!
