The chopper in this video is 2005 Big Dog Ridgeback. This is a rigid frame with a 330mm huge rear tire. As far as rigid frame factory built custom choppers go, I think the Big Dog Ridgeback is one of the best if not the best out there.
Now, when it comes to soft-tales, my two personal favorites are the k9 Big Dog motorcycle and the American Ironhorse Texas Chopper. It’s a shame that most people will never experience riding a high powered, sleek chopper like the k9 or Texas Chopper. Let’s face facts, riding any type of other motorcycle, including any Harley, is only partially experiencing what it’s like to ride one of these over 9 foot long beauties. Read more

This Samsung camera is a relatively small 360° camera that can be mounted using standard GoPro mounts. I’m riding the Big Dog with the camera is mounted on the right side of my helmet.
I’m also using Corel Video Studio X10 to edit the footage and convert it from 360° video into standard video. Read more

Okay, here comes my motorcycle riding story in the category of ‘there I was – thought I was going to die!’. this video is about shearing off the rear bolt that holds one of my two progressive shocks on my American Ironhorse Texas Chopper motorcycle.
I have a lot to say in this video and so it got a little long, now this video should be considered number one of two videos ( working on the second one right now) about this motorcycle riding incident. This first video talks about exactly what happened leading up to and during the bolt that secures my progressive 442 shocks to the frame of my motorcycle snapping off on the freeway.
My two favorite factory built custom choppers, the American Ironhorse and the Big Dog motorcycles both use the Progressive 422 shocks mounted horizontally under a number of their softail models. currently I’m riding the Texas Chopper that shown in this video, but, I have owned, and hopefully will only again, a Big Dog K-9. For both American Ironhorse motorcycles and Big Dog motorcycles the motor of choice was the S&S motor. The American Ironhorse motorcycles came standard with the S&S 111 ci motor and offered upgrades to the 117ci or the 124ci motors. Big Dog motorcycles used the 117ci S&S motor.
