This 360° motorcycle video was done with a Insta360 One X camera. This camera does NOT move. All the movement was done in post-production. Keep in mind that this video camera was mounted on my Big Dog k9 chopper. So, there was a lot of vibration. Yet, the built-in stabilization did a great job of making the video smooth! Read more

This is the first use of my new 360° VR camera to video a motorcycle ride. the camera is a Insta360 One, that records in 4K resolution. For best possible viewing results, change the resolution of this video up to 4K and full-screen, if your device can handle it without buffering. If you have a problem, just lower the resolution until it plays back correctly.
Riding up to Mount Laguna and Julian California is the most popular San Diego motorcycle ride. If you look closely at the video when we’re riding into Julian you’ll see a large amount of motorcycles parked on both sides of the main street. Read more

There were three chopper motorcycle riders from Orange County, and for chopper motorcycle riders from San Diego. Sure, seven motorcycle riders are pretty small group, but what made our group unique, is the fact that all the bikes were exceptionally good-looking, high-powered choppers.
Chopper motorcycles have been out-of-favor for a number of years. Yes at many motorcycle get-together, I’d say there are at least 20 to 30 baggars for every one chopper motorcycle. There is no doubt, for long rides, it is sure convenient to have those large saddlebags, multi-speaker stereo systems, large windshields, GPS, gas gauge and a huge gas tank. Read more

While all choppers are highly customized bikes, sometimes even being built from scratch using all custom parts, not all customized bikes are choppers. In Europe at roughly the same era that choppers were invented and popularized in the USA, bikers modified their bikes (primarily English brands like Triumph, BSA, Norton and Matchless) in a different way, to achieve different looks, performance goals and riding position.
