At least 44 people were killed, some 1,000 are missing, including 500 in União dos Palmares and at least 120,000 had to leave their homes. Entire towns were destroyed. Dams burst and river levels rose, engulfing entire towns.[3] Electricity and telephone services were disrupted and destroyed.[6] The homeless collected in schools and churches in their search for shelter. This is the forth video in our series covering the January 2015 LA, custom motorcycle show. When I was at the show this year it seemed that there were far fewer in attendance than last year. I attribute this lower attendance to the fact that on the day of the show. There was light to moderate rain throughout the Southern California region. Because a lot of Southern California bikers like to ride their bikes over to the show, I think the weather hurt the attendance. (more…)
