Best San Diego Motorcycle Rides

One of San Diego’s best motorcycle rides … Hwy 79 South of Lake Cuyamaca heading towards Descanso and Old Hwy 80, Japatul Valley Rd to Hwy 8.

We start off in the little historic town of Julian California. All of three blocks long, a wonderful community! Julian itself is one of the top San Diego motorcycle ride destinations for a slice of homemade apple pie.

Julian California motorcycle ride

Leaving Julian, the 10 mile section of this road, just South of Lake Cuyamaca to Descanso is super twisty with a number of hairpin turns and keeps the motorcycle rider twisting, turning and hugging the mountainside thru the breathtaking mountain scenery the whole way to Descanso and Old Hwy 80.

The posted speed on a number of the hairpin turns is just 15 Mph & for good reason. This is a great San Diego motorcycle ride, but, one that you must be very careful!

Nice video, but you guys really have to pick up the speed. A road like this is one you MUST push it on

I’ve ridden that road many times, very twisty.
