La Mesa Classic Car Show
La Mesa Classic Car & Motorcycle Show
La Mesa California is just east of San Diego California. This is a totally free to attend and to show your vehicles. This show runs through August 29 on Thursday evenings.
Although the show is mainly autos and hot rods, motorcycles are also entered and usually on any show night you can see a dozen to a dozen and a half motorcycles there. There are two winners picked each night, and the night that I was there with my modified big dog K9 motorcycle I won one of those awards. Read more

Installing new rear shock absorbers for the Big Dog motorcycle. Although this video shows the shocks being installed on a Big Dog K-9 model motorcycle, actually, the shock absorbers shown here can also be used on a number of the Big Dog motorcycle models as well as certain Harley-Davidson models.

Big Dog k9 Motorcycle
This is a 2017 Big Dog k9 motorcycle.
Many motorcycle enthusiast consider the Big Dog K9 motorcycle to be the best factory built chopper ever made. The K-9 was the top-of-the-line, the flagship motorcycle for Big Dog.
In my personal opinion I believe the Big Dog K-9 and the American Ironhorse Texas Chopper are both tied for the distinction of best factory built chopper motorcycle. Big Dog Motorcycles shutdown making motorcycles in 2011 and a couple years later went bankrupt. Just a few years ago, the company came back, though on a much scaled-down operation. Up until 2011, the K-9 motorcycle came with the S&S 117 ci engine. Since the company has been back in operation the K9 motorcycle now comes with the S&S 124 ci engine.
The S&S 124 cubic inch V124 engine has 10.8:1 compression • 4-1/8″ bore X 4-5/8″ stroke, electric compression release, S&S Super G carburetor and two year warranty

If you are looking for a factory made custom high-power chopper with under 400 original miles this could be your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! This bike was purchased from the original owner who because of work commitments and other factors really kept it in his garage more like a trophy than a motorcycle.
Currently, this bike has under 400 original miles! Yes, it’s not even past the engine brakein period! also, just a few days ago, I had Curtis of Wild Steed Wox clean up and go over the electrical system because the Arizona dealer did a sloppy job on installing the upgraded EHC. At the same time, I had Curtis mount new Avon tires and balance them with the micro-bead system, so no ugly lead weights needed. The reason for the new tires was not because of any wear, I mean they had under 400 miles on them, they were installed because of the age of the original tires. Read more
