The k9 was a replacement for the Big Dog chopper and the flagship for the entire Big Dog motorcycle line of high-performance bikes!
The combination of the Baker 6-Speed transmission the 117 inch S&S engine, two heavy-duty hidden shocks, 300mm rear tire, over 9 feet long, and an impressive extended/raked front end combine to create one relatively easy to ride, head turning machine!
It’s kind of amazing when you think about it, even Harley-Davison’s newest 2019 FXDR, has a smaller engine then this 12-year-old Big Dog k9!
So, was Alex impressed with the short ride on the Big Dog k9? Well, I think you’ll have to ask him for his impressions . . . But, I will say, that shortly after the ride he sent me over a text that basically said he was mad at me because now he can get this bike out of his mind!
Yes, head turning classic chopper styling, yet, soft-tail comfort . . . If you can handle the power and all the attention this bike generates everywhere he goes . . .What more could any motorcycle enthusiast ask for?
