Chopper Suspension Adjustment – Motorcycle Shock Adjustments
Chopper Suspension Adjustment – Motorcycle Shock Adjustments
Motorcycle Shock Adjustments for rear shocks. This is part one of a two part video on adjustment to my San Diego chopper motorcycle hidden rear shocks.
This video shows adjustments made to the two under frame shock absorbers on my Ironhorse Texas chopper. These adjustments were made by a trained motorcycle mechanic and are posted here just as an example of what was done on one particular motorcycle.

One should keep in mind that there is a wide variety of motorcycles (Harley-Davidson, Ironhorse, Big Dog, Big Bear, custom construction motorcycles, etc.) that have these hidden rear shocks. So, there are many different models of similar looking shock absorbers on the market. The adjustments made in this video were just to one particular model (American Ironhorse Texas Chopper) motorcycle and one particular model of rear shock absorbers.
As your rear shock absorbers are an integral part of the motorcycle, you should not try to make any adjustments to them on your own. To be sure it’s done right, and to be safe, bring your motorcycle in to your authorized motorcycle mechanic to inspect and see if you are shock absorbers need any adjustments or replacement.

The second video in this two video series on Motorcycle Shock Adjustments will be posted here tomorrow.
