Advertising like this has been in use around the world for years, and only recently has been introduced to the US in such an emotive way. Advertisers/governments have a tough job to do to get a message across without causing undue pain for people, and I think this does the job well.

There’s no argument that cars offer better protection. The point is to see motorcycles before you kill one of them because you simply “didn’t see them.”

It’s very true that many car drivers just do not look out for motorcycle riders.
Here in California there are way too many motorcycle accidents! Let’s hope things improve.
