A motorcycle ride from San Diego Harley-Davidson to Julian California on a great San Diego day.

1869 gold was discovered  in  Coleman Creek, just west of Julian. Even today, if you know where to go, you can still find a few gold flakes in Colman Creek. Today, Julian is more of a tourist town, better known for its apple pies than for gold mining. Though, there is an inactive gold mine that does provide tours for the tourist, right in the heart of town. (more…)

Motorcycle jeans destruction test

This video is a comparison of two types of motorcycle jeans, not a scientific or repeatable test. An actual motorcycle accident would submit the jeans to more energy in a much shorter time. This video simply compares two pair of motorcycle jeans. . . fully Kevlar and partially Kevlar lined. I’d go for the better quality pair, but what other people decide to do is entirely up to them.

Not really a fair comparison since an actual motorcycle accident won’t be like the scenario you set up. (more…)
