How to Pick up a Big Motorcycle

How to Pick up a Big Motorcycle

Video showing how to pickup a large motorcycle accidentally dropped.

Very good tips and techniques on picking up a heavy motorcycle. Now, if the 70-year-old guy can do this I’m sure most younger people can also benefit from these tips.

This technique is geared toward the rider who “drops” the motorcycle, as many new riders are apt to do at a stop sign or some other slow-speed maneuver. Even an experienced rider may drop the bike now and then, and with a heavy cruiser, this technique makes all the difference in the world. (more…)

Big Dog Motorcycles TV Commercial

Big Dog Motorcycles

This is a vintage big dog motorcycle video that was made prior to their going out of business in 2011.

The video itself reminds me of the famous Apple Computer video which also revolved around the theme of breaking out of the conventional and standing apart from the masses.

Actually I wouldn’t be surprised if the makers of this video were influenced by the Apple Computer video commercial

Like the video says: even sitting still, a Big Dog motorcycle is a public event… they aren’t for the meek.

Motorcycles San Diego

Motorcycles San Diego It’s been 49 years since my Harley Davison chopper took first place at a show in the New York City Coliseum.

Motorcycle Accident – rider loses control on turn

Motorcycle Accident

A motorcycle rider takes a turn with too much speed and ends up losing control. Luckily the motorcyclist only suffered a fractured collarbone, along with a few scratches.

Looks like somebody got a little too freaked out passing that “Left Lane Ends” warning sign at about 80 miles an hour and over corrected juuuuuuust a wee bit too far to the right. “An’ another one rides the bus, hey, hey!!!…”, well, at least until his arm finishes its stint in the sling… 😀 (more…)
